LATEST TECHNOLOGY IN UNIQUE PUBLIC LIBRARY

1) HOVER BOARD
      

  •  Used for personal transportation. 
  • In library, the hover board is using to facilitate the students, and staffs are looking for reference material and reading
  • It is also saves time compared to students and staff to use foot power to find books per one side to the other.


2) RADIO-FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION ( RFID )


  • Radio-frequency identification (RFID) uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. 
  • The tags contain electronically stored information.
  • Passive tags collect energy from a nearby RFID reader's interrogating radio waves.




3) AUTOMATED DISPENSING MACHINE

  •  Providing a self service reservations collection point that can be positioned in either internal or external conditions.
  •  Allows library staff to remotely load lockers with reservation items with our loaning application. Just scan the item in the application. 
  • Its allocates a locker and prints a receipt with a bar code and the receipt will indicate the items and locker number. 

  • Once a trolley is full of items ready to be loaded into the machine and the staff member has to just scan the bar code on the receipt that is attached to the reserved item and it will automatically unlock the correct locker, place the item in and close the door.
  • The user will simply scan their user card and the screen will display the items, the user accepts and the locker is opened and the items are issued.



4) THERMAL IMAGING PEOPLE COUNTER


  • The thermal imaging technology is use in open place areas to detect numbers and trends of customer groups at counters, entrances and exits providing fast, accurate data on how, when and where a location is being used. 

 5) 24 HOUR LIBRARY ITEM RETURNS AND SORTING MACHINE

 


  • The functionality to return items outside of standard library open hours is a modern service offering that is in the interest of both customers and libraries.

  • This technology is a fully automated book return machine.
  • It is designed to offer a superior service when returning library items, reduce queues and waiting times and to free up library staff from returns transactions. 
  • The system sorts items into different categories easily.
  •  It is also can easily be built into existing interior walls and enables the user to quickly return items.

6) LAPTOP STORAGE & CHARGING


  • This is a multi-bay modular locker system designed to store safely and charge & deploy laptops and other similar devices to users via a 19’’ touch screen interface
  • Individual user bays are the optimum size to store most makes and models of laptop, netbook, PC tablet or iPads and offer safe charging environment for access by users of all ages. 
  • Available from 12 bays, this modular locker system can be tailored to suit the users needs. With its steel chassis and doors, this locker is an extremely secure centralized location to entrust with valued mobile ICT equipment,providing effective crime prevention as well as ICT management.
  • This locker is available with a range of charging options.


7) LIBRARY SELF SERVICE SYSTEMS


  • The self-checkout systems kiosk is designed to maximize the functionality of self service in a library while minimizing floor space. 

  • The basic configuration is a self-service kiosk that can checkout barcoded material as well as RFID tagged items.  Additional options include a PCI compliant credit card terminal as well as a coin and note/bill acceptor that gives change plus Apple Pay™.
  • This large touch screen monitor is user friendly with easy to understand  instructions to assure patron success. The large checkout area for material  placement is sure to delight patrons with a lot of materials to checkout. It is can also be configured to have two patron touch screens to further save floor space. 

  • Options for the second touch screen include paying fines and fees, reserving PC’s, looking up library and city information as well as being used to return materials either into a bin or a sorting system.

 8) Braille E-book



  • Braille E-Book can be used to save and print the manuscript of which help to save space and cost. Braille E-Book, use EAP technology, which serves to change the shape of the surface through electromagnetic signals.
 
9) Voice Stick




  • Stick Voice has a small and lightweight design makes it easy to carry everywhere. This tool will "read" the text aloud. OCR technology will scan and convert words and translate words into text. Then the software to translate text to voice is used to enable the visually impaired to read newspapers, books and so on. It uses the same principles as the language translation tool.
